Berkeley SkyDeck has extended its international presence by signing an MOU (memorandum of understanding) with JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), a Japanese government-affiliated agency that promotes foreign investment into Japan and helps Japanese startups maximize their global potential. JETRO will back SkyDeck’s launch of a formal startup support program in Japan, marking this as SkyDeck’s second international program, after the launch of Berkeley SkyDeck Europe, Milano, in 2022.
