It may come as no surprise to Berkeley students who have come to know SkyDeck’s name across campus that SkyDeck places a huge emphasis on matching Cal students for internships with their startups. For the last cohort of SkyDeck startups, the average team hired 7 interns from UC Berkeley. This Friday, SkyDeck will host a summer internship fair. “We have 52 SkyDeck startups that are actively recruiting talented interns from Berkeley,” said Sibyl Chen, SkyDeck’s Senior Director of Program. “It’s been really heartwarming to see our founders focused on building their startups in spite of the economic headwinds due to COVID-19. Given the number of students that have registered so far, I’m glad to see that students won’t let the current reality deter them from actively pursuing their interests and trying to secure meaningful internships.”
