Formed as a partnership between the Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, SkyDeck combines the consulting know-how of traditional accelerators with the vast resources of its research university.
This robust partnership is coupled with SkyDeck’s unique mentorship program to create a powerful environment for startups. Its SkyAdvisors, Partners, and large network of accredited investors connect their SkyTeams to the expertise and capital they need to launch and grow…to the moon.
Think you have a great startup? Here’s what we’re looking for:
A team member (founder, employee, advisor) affiliated with UC Berkeley, any UC campus, or Berkeley Lab (LBNL). An affiliate is a student, alumni, faculty, staff, postdoc researcher, or visiting scholar. Founders who are foreign nationals without any of these affiliations are also eligible for SkyDeck under the Global Acceleration Program (GAP). You do not have to fill out a separate application to be considered for the GAP program.
Evidence of business potential. This could come in the form of revenue, users, customer interviews, a demo, a prototype, or a patent or significant scientific/technical breakthrough
Team must be for-profit and ready to begin interacting with mentors and potential investors
The SkyDeck Berkeley Acceleration Method is a 6-month acceleration process for promising startups in any vertical who are affiliated with UC Berkeley, any UC campus, Lawrence Berkeley Lab, or global founders.
