The Berkeley SkyDeck UTokyo Bootcamp is a five-day, immersive program for researchers and aspiring entrepreneurs ready to bring their innovations to market. Hosted at 1stRound BASE in Tokyo, the bootcamp combines structured workshops with personalized support. The bootcamp is designed to accelerate your path from research or early stage development to real-world commercial success.
What to expect:
The bootcamp gives participants practical tools, real-world perspective, and direct exposure to global startup best practices. Through interactive workshops and focused mentorship, you will strengthen your ability to build, refine, and pitch your venture.
This program is designed for early-stage founders, academics, and research scientists who want to turn their startup ideas into reality and create meaningful impact on a global stage. Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. Target audience: Entrepreneurs and researchers residing in Japan.
To apply, simply submit an application between January 15 and February 28, 2026 @ 11:59PM JST, via the “Apply” button featured in the Key Dates section of this webpage. Applications are jointly reviewed by UTokyoIPC and SkyDeck. All applicants will be notified of their status by Monday, March 23, 2026. Selected participants should be prepared to actively engage in a highly interactive program.
