| UC Berkeley continues to prove why it’s the best university to launch bold ideas. Forbes recently ranked Berkeley the #1 public university in the U.S. and #5 overall among all undergraduate colleges, recognizing the unmatched value, career outcomes, and global impact of its graduates. And according to PitchBook’s 2025 rankings, Berkeley has once again been named the top university in the world for producing venture-backed startups founded by undergraduate alumni – outpacing Stanford, Harvard, and MIT with 1,650 companies and 1,804 founders.
