SkyTeam Transcense wins Grand Prize at LAUNCH

We are proud to announce that Transcense took home the grand prize and $25,000 at LAUNCH last night! The SkyTeam was one of 15 teams that made it to the finals, and they delivered their pitch in front of packed house in the Andersen Auditorium at the Haas School of Business. The 17th Annual event was hosted by the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship and was the culmination of a rigorous four-month curriculum to refine customer segments, develop sales plans, and define metrics.

Thrilled that Transcense won the Berkeley LAUNCH competition last night. It’s a team effort. From the founders, working hard on enabling access to group conversations to 400M deaf and hard-of-hearing people, but also the tireless support and feedback from our community of users. Finally, the mentorship of the last three months of brilliant SkyDeck advisors and mentors helped us all along the way, sharing their experience so we could make the right decisions. It all comes down to an intense preparation among other passionate entrepreneurs solving very real problems. We couldn’t be more honored to having been working with them. There’s this energy accross all Berkeley entrepreneurial places that is quite unique to here. Proud to be part of it. – Thibault Duchemin, Transcense Founder and CEO
