SkyFounders Kelly Gardner and Heather Bowerman in MIT’s 35 Under 35 List
SkyAlum Zephyrus Biosciences Co-Founder Kelly Gardner and SkyDeck HotDesker Dot Labs Co-Founder Heather Bowerman were included in the distinguished MIT Technology Review 35 Innovators Under 35 for 2016. The two women were selected with a list of only five other entrepreneurs. These women are two impressive additions, and they join SkyAlum Cortera Neurtechnologies Co-Founder Rikky Mueller who was included in last year’s list.
Gardner harnesses her expertise in biotech to guide her team in the development of technology to test cell protein levels. Their work will improve the thoroughness of tumor examination. Bio-Techne Corporation acquired Zephyrus Biosciences in March of this year.
Bowerman’s work with Dot Labs focuses on the effects that female hormones have on their reaction to different drugs and diseases. These hormone levels impact the effectiveness of certain drugs, and Dot Labs is developing a system to track female hormone levels and provide the essential information to their doctors for accurate diagnosis.
SkyDeck is continually impressed by the impact their founders make on a multitude of industries. The caliber of founders launched in Berkeley justifies the continually growing need to provide premier resources to foster the development of innovative technology and industry solutions.
