SkyDeck Signage Approved for 2150 Shattuck Building
SkyDeck is thrilled to announce the approval by Berkeley’s Mayor and our City Council of our building top signage for our 13-story building at 2150 Shattuck Avenue. Our building will now be known as the SkyDeck Building and will feature our beautiful logo on two sides of our rooftop to help celebrate Berkeley born and bred innovation.
Executive Director Caroline Winnett worked tirelessly with the help of Steven Donaldson at Radiant Brands and AdArt to come up with a signage design that communicates our mission of fostering ambitious and innovative ideas. When asked about how the signs will support our mission, Winnett responded, “We are thrilled to be able to communicate to the City of Berkeley and our UC Berkeley community just how proud we are of the entrepreneurs at SkyDeck.” We hope the signage will serve as motivation and recognition for the work these entrepreneurs are putting in day in and day out to make the world a better place. City Councilman Kriss Worthington said at the Council meeting that “SkyDeck is an incredible, amazing place. I think they are making the city and the world a better place…they’re branding Berkeley as a place of science and innovation.” Mayor Jesse Arreguin and the Berkeley City Council members unanimously agreed to approve the SkyDeck sign during their Tuesday night Council Meeting.
Our beautiful logo was designed by entrepreneur and SkyDeck alum Cari Irwin of PilotHouse. Many thanks to City of Berkeley staff Anne Burns and Steven Buckley who expertly guided us through the signage approval process.
We are very excited by this recent news and will keep you posted on the progress of the new SkyDeck signs!
