SkyAlum Leada Launches Real-World Data Science Curriculum
Say goodbye to busywork, and hello to the real world. Students have long complained about the dreaded lessons that seem to have no professional application, and this month SkyAlum Leada has addressed their grievances. University and graduate courses provide students with fundamental theories, but often the translation from theory into practice is lost in the lab or lecture hall.
This month Leada launches their online courses incorporating experiential learning into classroom courses taught by professors. The company partnered with industries to customize coursework based on real industry problems. As data science studies grow evermore popular, Leada aims to assist students develop employable skills. Leada’s curriculum is currently being implemented at the University of California, Berkeley, University of San Francisco, New York University, Notre Dame, and Northern Illinois University. The startup hopes to be used in 30 universities by the Fall.
