Apply for the Inaugural primeUC
A new Bay Area startup competition is launching this December, and the biggest draw: a grand prize of $150K with no strings attached. UC President Janet Napolitano has introduced the inaugural primeUC startup competition sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
PrimeUC will be held 2-4 times each year, alternating between Life Sciences and Engineering, leaving this first event focusing on Life Sciences. The competition applications are due September 25th, with the final pitch event on December 2nd. Not only will the grand prize winner receive $150K seed funding, the three runner-ups will earn $50K prizes.
The primeUC competition will draw from entrepreneurs from across the 10 UC campuses. SkyDeck is excited to hear that the entrepreneurship ecosystem born on the UC Berkeley campus is growing.
